Description
This course is designed for the programmers who know programming in C and want to quickly learn programming in Python. The common concepts in both languages are described with good and simple examples. These includes data types, comments, console input/output, operators, decision control statements, loop control statements, functions and modules, string handling, list and arrays, header files and packages, error and exception handling, reading and writing in files. The concepts which are only in C language like pointers are not included. Additional data structures of Python like sets, tuples and dictionaries are explained as these are required for writing efficient programs in Python. Many sample programs are shown in both C and Python programming. These help in making the user understand the efficiency of Python programs. Quizzes contain easy questions for understanding the contents explained in the lectures. Assignments also help in revising the concepts explained. The static information is presented as resources or articles which can be downloaded for quick reference. The course aims to utilize the existing knowledge of the programmer in learning Python and easily remembering the correlation and differences between the two programming languages. It's different from other courses teaching Python directly in a way that it's starting from C programming. If a new user who does not know programming in C will also learn both languages simultaneously.
